Not until the loosing culture is broken. An intense winning culture can take years...passive - aggressive players have to be seen.
Marty Koenig's comment, March 9, 2013 3:08 PM
Agree, Ric. It seems like a huge step backwards in strategic leadership and management of humans. The overriding perception of a move like this is "We don't trust you enough" and "You can't possibly work from home or remote location and engage enough" and "Our employees are our greatest asset...see how we prove that every day by taking away something that driver higher employee satisfaction?". Will be interesting to see what happens. It's also interesting that both Best Buy and Yahoo have lost their luster because of poor management decisions, the most prevalent being innovation and strategic marketing to keep up with their industries. It seems a desperate attempt to "do something" perhaps brought forth by an old school management consultant that hasn't learning anything new since 1984.

The Future Of SEO in a Socially Driven World

The Future Of SEO in a Socially Driven World | Digital Marketing Blogs, Tips and news, Gadget reviews and Technology | Scoop.it

If SEO is dead, social media will be, too, in another five years.

In today’s search world, there’s a lot of talk about how social is “taking over,” how “content is king,” and how search engine optimization is “dead” – with search updates like Penguin and Panda hitting the final nails on the coffin. Sounds very dramatic, doesn’t it?

Yes, social is more significant than ever. But, it is too early to draw any conclusions about the death of SEO based on the patterns that we’re seeing. If anything, what we’re seeing today are the after effects of a healthy transition.

Great insight by Nik Hewitt

First interview question, "What do you know about our company". It's a classic, and if they've not at least got the basics from the website the interview pretty much stops there. It's not rocket science to visit and 'About Us' page. Do not pass go, do not collect salary.
