BLOCK Research Group

The new National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) "Digital Fabrication - Innovative Building Processes in Architecture"examines innovative engineering and construction in architecture. The focus of this initiative is the research of digital design and manufacturing processes and their synthesis in novel technologies. With a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches, different areas such as architecture, structural engineering, computer science, control systems engineering, material engineering and robotics are brought together in an ambitious partnership, with the goal of establishing digital technology as an essential part of future architecture.

The BLOCK Research Group is looking forward to receiving applications for

3 full-time, fully funded (3.5 years) PhD positions, and1 full-time, fully funded (4 years) post-doc position.
