Reflection by US blogger Drew Gibson on some of the struggles for people experiencing opioid dependence and in recovery.  He doesn't address pharmacotherapy in his piece, but his recounting of others' experiences highlights the potentially lifesaving role that Opioid Replacement Therapy can play in supporting sustainable change. Our ORT position statement and supporting evidence is here: http://www.regen.org.au/advocacy.  It's also worth noting that the piece ends with discussion of suicide.  If you're feeling vulnerable now (or after having read it), please contact your local support line. This is obviously a significant setback for WASUA. Seizures of steroids and other image enhancing drugs are on track for a significant rise this year, adding weight to the idea steroid use is on the increase. It's an idea familiar to University of Queensland psychologist Scott Griffiths, who moved from Sydney on the weekend to start new research including the largest ever survey of steroid users.
