I would like to know how much has been invested so far in CEMA and whether all of those millions were wasted...$6M from private companies in one year alone. How much did government spend and  will the work be available to the next iteration of this?


Somehow I doubt it...

Not one of the Progressive Conservative MLAs on the committee, including former Wildrose MLAs Gary Bikman and Jeff Wilson, had the fortitude to defend the decision they made last week. Only NDP MLA David Eggen and Liberal MLA Laurie Blakeman voted against the funding cut.

Devore believes more needs to be done to help first responders, including a review of the current de-briefing procedures to see whether they are actually effective. According to Devore, the current procedures were developed in the 1980s and haven't been proven scientifically to help. Another thing that needs to change is the culture among the first responders community.
