Sweet 16

Sweet 16 | Aladin-Fazel | Scoop.it
Again it wasn't to last. My skin took a turn for the worst and I became covered in eczema. It was so bad it would crack open and bleed. It was on my face everywhere. It aged me and it was a very painful time. It took two years to discover it was stress and an egg alergy. Paul was my rock and by the time I had got to 17 we was just getting ready to buy our first flat together.

BASHO & THE BURNING BUSH: How to approach your dreams barefoot | Natural Dreamwork w/ Rodger Kamenetz | Aladin-Fazel | Scoop.it
Every image in life and in our dreams is potentially a burning bush. The “bush” by the way is a very humble object– it’s not a burning cedar for instance, it’s a little scrubby bush. The burning is the key.

The development of science, which is so extraordinarily characteristic for the West, owes its origin in a great measure to the experimental attitude of mind in alchemy.Alchemy is founded on the conviction of the spontaneity of the spirit and of inspiration, and strives, in untiring speculative meditation, to explore the unbound spirit of nature and…

On Soul’s Revolutionary Road: Witnessing Another’s Unfolding. | Rebelle Society | Aladin-Fazel | Scoop.it
Soul wants to sink us down into the ground of our being, where it's fecund and rich, damp and ripe, ready for flourishing, continually opening and deepening into more of who we are, and what we are here for. To do so, our soul needs a witness in the other. An empathic, fiercely loving, solidly present, yet soft, warm and open witness. A witness that knows our soul is also feral, that it does not present itself front and center like the egoic aspects of the psyche do.

Mining the depths of our dreams with another offers us the deep witnessing that the soul craves. In our dreams, our soul manifests as the wild, untamed, innocent child within that longs to be reconnected with us. www.archetypaldreamworks.com

It looks like some kind of some monstrous/masculine energy combined with an almost comatose feminine. The fifties were a time of fear of nuclear annihilation and Betty Crocker/Susie Housewife models of the feminine.
