Don't for one minute think that Big Food and Big Ag have had a change of heart. They have a global grip on the food supply worth trillions of dollars and they're not about to give this up. With demand for gmo labeling and opposition to genetically engineered food growing worldwide they have made a master chess move here. This is a strategic ploy to define and control WHAT can be labeled as genetically engineered food and what cannot. They have and still are buying up any organic brands of any power (that will sell out) and with the great power Big Food and Big Ag and Big Pharma have over the USDA and FDA they will write legislation and push it through to ensure a weak, no-nothing gmo label in the hopes this will quell the concerns of the less informed masses. Note: the absence of the name "Monsanto" which is drawing too much heat. Big Food, Big Ag are dependent upon Monsanto products for their survival. Quite a shill and trojan horse move. We have to stay right on top of this. Watch the manouvering, pr, and "bait and switch" act of these masters of manipulation and peruasion as they will try to push this through with another "crisis" legislation with little review or public input.
