Uprooting these trees has actually nothing to do with biodiversity so really diesn't belong on this blog (only cultivated olive trees are being uprooted). But it does have alot to do with the politics of occupation, which has room on a different type of blog. Could be interesting though to look at the roles of planting/uprooting trees in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
