It takes courage to single-task because so many people believe that multi-tasking is more efficient, smarter, cool, etc. - you'll be left behind if you don't! Science shows true multi-tasking is impossible because our brains are not wired that way. Furthermore multi-tasking is unhealthy. Not just inefficient, but unhealthy. Have the courage to use your brain better!

For me, this is about re-connecting with what is most important in our lives and to use our power to choose actions that demonstrate that we live our values all the time. By contrast, the simplest, tiniest multi-tasking, checking your phone or email while present with others demonstrates you don't know or don't care about the people you're with. I doubt most people mean it that way - checking our phones is like eating potato chips - we can't stop! Or can we?
