Media industry adviser BIA/Kelsey estimates that U.S. consumer spending on deal-a-day websites such as Groupon and Living Social could grow from $873 million in 2010 to $3.9 billion in 2015, representing a 35.1-percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). However, all is not rosy for the sites as they face class-action lawsuits and state scrutiny of the deals' short expiration windows.

I would have expected the two to be much more closely aligned on the assumption that they are, by and large, the same people.
