Should We Get Game Designers More Involved In Gamification? [Quora + Marty Answer]

Should We Get Game Designers More Involved In Gamification? [Quora + Marty Answer] | Advertising and Social Media Tools | Scoop.it
Answer (1 of 5): I think you're exactly right and your approach seems sound. But I don't think you're going to (or need to) convert game designers who aren't interested.

The obvious answer to this question about if game designers should be more involved in gamification is YES! Never one to live with a single word answer when a few hundred words are more fun, look for my response on Quora (at the bottom).

Use Content Curation to Drive More Traffic

Use Content Curation to Drive More Traffic | Advertising and Social Media Tools | Scoop.it

"For the last couple of weeks I have been using a content curation service called Scoop.it to generate lots of referral traffic"

Barry Deutsch's curator insight, December 31, 2012 4:59 PM

One of the most powerful tools that I've been using for the past 3-4 months is Scoop.it. I can curate content that is relevant to a specific segment of my network within 3-5 minutes with an insightful assessment of the article within 3-5 minutes vs. 45-60 minutes for a typical original content blog article of 300-500 words.

Mixing your curated content along with your original content can establish you as a leader in your niche, an expert in your subject area, a thought-leader, and a "go-to" person among your network.

It also can drive an extraordinary number of leads toward you.

What are you waiting for? If you would like a demonstration of how scoop.it works with a social media site like LinkedIn, shoot me a note to set up a complimentary assessment of how you're using content marketing with your network.

I learned from this article that there is a 'suggest' tool within Scoop. It where you can suggest your content to other users and a search tool to find the popular Scoop.it users who are good to suggest to.

Infographics are popular. They help reduce complex coherences to simplified illustrations. Information gets visualized. The best infographics are self-explanatory, needing almost no text at all.

Remember however that the use of icons and infographics needs to take into account principals of Universal Design so that people of all ability levels can "read", understand and use. JE Sleeth OPC Accessible Design consultants since 1991

I disagree Jane. It would be great if everything were able to be accessible to everyone, but that is simply not the reality. We can't homogenise visual art into an accessible form, simply because some people can't see the fine details. That would be as wrong as never considering visually impaired persons, for example.
