The times they are a changin’, and in this essay, I’d like to suggest they are changing in a way that has massive implications for education: sources of credibility—once the domain of expensive degrees–are becoming democratized, decentralized, and diversified.

Simply put–and much to the consternation of college administrators everywhere—the Internet is taking away higher education’s centuries-old monopoly on granting credibility.

A strong article about the new science standards, the four C's with relevant links, and how the new standars connect to the new economy and global world order.  There is a honest appraisal regarding the need to beef-up the link between science and its ability to spark innovation and creativity.  It is important for students to view the sciences as a creative endeavor, so my reaction is to infuse the arts (STEAM rather than STEM) into all the curriculum as much as realitically possible.
