I  have also found that the Visible Thinking techniques really work in class. The  ' I See - I think - I wonder' technique is particularly successful in an oral proficiency class I give. Thanks to the British Council for first introducing me to this!

Flipped classrooms generally take advantage of technology for off campus learning while maximising the presence of the teacher for discursive and iterative activities.

What happens when we flip the roles as well? What happens when the students become teachers and the teacher becomes a learner?
