Free classified advertising is a great way to gain visibility. Here are tips on how to use free (online) classified advertising that will bring you results.
Diane Bjorling's insight:

The fact is free classified advertising is a much cheaper way to promote and sell your products or services and has been used by thousands of people everyday...successfully I might add.
Its important to know that the purpose of any ad is not to sell, but to get people interested enough to want to know MORE.

These best practices are designed to help you understand that, just like anything there are right ways and wrong ways to use this form of advertising in ways that will work.

B2B Social Media Curation: Tips and Tricks

What is social media curation? Social media curation is: Gathering and repurposing content from sources outside of your business to improve and diversify your social media marketing.

Via Ally Greer
Diane Bjorling's insight:

I know that many people keep asking what is social media curation and I have heard many answers.  Some of the definitions I have heard are so complicated that its hard to digest.  Reading "SOCIAL MEDIA CURATION is: Gathering and repurposing content from sources outside of your business to improve and diversify your social media marketing." not only makes perfect sense but will also help the new person understand the *concept*

Nicole Paquet's curator insight, February 20, 2014 11:18 AM

Personally, I would highly recommend this article for anyone interested in social media. I found it to be extremely helpful with its suggested tips on how to properly curate articles and how to go about doing so in an ethical manner. I think that it is important for businesses to be looking into what else is going on in their industry aside from themselves and to be open to discuss those changes with their consumers. By posting other articles from creditable sources, companies have the brilliant opportunity to look more like experts in the field themselves even for just keeping up with current ideas and innovations. Aside from this, it also lets businesses provide their followers with their own take on what is going on in the world. For their customers, curating makes it much more exciting to follow businesses. When companies are not so focused on using social media to push products, they can instead use these forums to be able to express themselves as a “real people” with actual personalities. People who are interested in their business have a great chance of also being very intrigued by other topics or subject matter that is relatable or are in some ways similar. Something to take away from this is the idea that social media should not be used to push products and services on people but rather another median to be able to connect and interact with consumers. By doing so, businesses are able to gain a better insight on what it is their customers are actually looking for and what are some things that they may need to change. It may be time-consuming, but in the end I truly believe that social media is an extremely powerful tool to be used in order to enhance a business in a relatively low cost manner.

Content is King!... indeed this is the kind of info I'm always looking for and looking to share. This is the stuff that if you pay attention to and study will put you into a higher level of your marketing. For example this statement taken from the scooped article "However, it is not enough merely to produce lots of content. The search engines , as well  as  the Internet audience have become much more discerning and more aware of poor quality and “spammy” content". Now they are looking more for quality content and this is great news, especially for us up and coming content networkers. Everyone has a fair chance now...it's no longer a monopoly by those techies and keyword and seo optimization experts. It's now open field for those of us who can write a decent letter and who take the time to put out good high quality content that is valuable to our readers.. Bravo Google!

How good is your subject line? Crafting headlines, subject lines, blog post titles can be challenging to say the least. Here are a couple of tools to help
Diane Bjorling's insight:

I know that many people think of email marketing when it comes to creating good subject lines or headlines to get people to open the mail, but I think that for anyone who is blogging the blog post title is going to make or break people reading your content.

I found these tools after a conversation with a friend about how to test subject lines and even though they are for people who are email marketing, I feel they could also be used to start honing Blog post titles of course keeping the focus on what people are searching for in terms of content to help entertain or help solve that "problem.

If this post is one that has helped you in any way..then feel free to like and share with your friends

Story telling 101; How to successfully tell your story to sell your products or service online.
Diane Bjorling's insight:

I have noticed that many new marketers( especially) have few concepts on how to tell a story on a consistent basis and when they do it has very little to do with their brand.
When you think about how much information is being thrown at a person every day, then telling that story to the right people at the right time, becomes a battle for attention.
Maybe we need to rethink and learn to go from telling a good story to writing an epic novel by sharing "your" way

Best 5 Free Online Image editors - Social Media and Marketing by Bogdan Fiedur

Best 5 Free Online Image editors - Social Media and Marketing by Bogdan Fiedur | Adlandpro talking about Social-Marketing-Blogging | Scoop.it
Visual marketing is becoming even more important so creating good images is needed. These free online image editors will help give you an edge to be seen
Diane Bjorling's insight:

Visual marketing is becoming a proven method to reach a wide audience as has been shown with the popularity of services such as Pinterest and Instagram.

For many folks creating  images that will be different or  "catchy" is not so easy for many reasons from services being costly or services that are complicated to use.

I like the idea of using an online editor for images because you really can do so many things, they are usually easy to use and what a great way to become known!

There are many services online, but these particular free online image editors are well worth exploring!

Do you have any favorite online editors that people should know about and are they free to use?

I would love to hear your thoughts!
