Diane Bjorling's insight:

An interesting point of view by the author and one that I am not totally against...anything that will help decrease spam is desired.
I do have a problem with such thinkings as "low quality group of people" as there are many small groups of people who engage with others on a site or a blog and they are happy doing what they are doing.   More important it would seem that this kind of thinking encourages a kind of "caste" mentality..why is to judge what is quality, surely it should be the people themselves and not a machine?

Diane Bjorling's insight:

The content on this article has some sound and good advise for anyone who is wanting to become an affiliate marketer.  I would add one more tip...BEFORE you join anything, do your homework to make sure that what you are affiliating with will be legal and ethical.  Do a search on Google and Bing and if you see ANY negative comments anywhere, do more digging to be sure that you are not getting involved with anything that will cause you and your customers any harm!

If you work with a site that relies on trickery to survive, then you need to reevaluate. This is a short-term strategy just waiting for the next algorithmic smackdown to kill your site dead in the water.
Diane Bjorling's insight:

Don’t do what Johnny Spammer does. If it looks like spam, feels like spam and smells like spam, guess what? Yep, it’s spam...The reality is that getting rid of spam is like curing the flu..you can manage it, but it never will be cured..or maybe one day it will..who knows.  Until there is a cure.. find a way to innoculate yourself and keep an eye on your site.
