Simple QR code generator: comparte páginas web

Simple QR code generator: comparte páginas web | Actualidad Express | Scoop.it

Is the New Facebook Timeline a Failure in Design? | Jeffbullas's Blog

Is the New Facebook Timeline a Failure in Design? | Jeffbullas's Blog | Actualidad Express | Scoop.it

Generally people don’t like change!

The majority of us like routine and familiarity. Mess with someone’s habitual routine and watch them start to sweat, stress and squirm.

They also say that a change is as good as a holiday but is all change good?

Facebook’s new timeline is now live on both the personal profiles and pages and it has taken the known and familiar and replaced it with a very new design.

Steve Jobs said in an interview with Wired magazine in 1997 “People think that design is how it looks, but it goes much deeper than that, it is actually how it works”

So does the new Facebook timeline design “work”?

The impact for business is that it needs to evaluate the implications of these changes to ensure that they maintain their engagement and utilise the stronger visual format that the brand “pages” now have.

So the changes are in place and the dust has settled, what are the implications for the managers, administrators and users of the “new”Facebook timeline “page”.

How to Make a Tweet This Link | Social Media Sun

How to Make a Tweet This Link | Social Media Sun | Actualidad Express | Scoop.it

That could be very interesting to know how do that. [note mg]

Have you seen those pre-written “tweet this” links and buttons that some websites use to make sharing a tweet much faster, and give additional control to the website that created it? I’m going to show you how to make a Pre-Formatted Re-Tweet Link or Button. When a user clicks on it they will be taken to their Twitter account with your message already filled in. All that is left for them to do is send the tweet! It’s useful in several situations, and isn’t the same as the stock Twitter Re-Tweet button.

Twitter is becoming known as the place to get news before it even becomes news. Getting news before everyone else has made it a premiere place to look for content, which by default has made it a premiere place to share content.

82% B2B Marketers Use Curation - Find Out Which Methods Work Best

82% B2B Marketers Use Curation - Find Out Which Methods Work Best | Actualidad Express | Scoop.it

By Pawan Deshpande, CEO, HiveFire.  "Last year my company, HiveFire Inc., shared the results from our B2B Marketing Trends survey".

Here's what they found and found:

**82 percent are incorporating content curation

Click through to this recent post titled “Content May Be King” for more content curation definitions and trends.)

**The fact that this represents a notable increase (up from 48 percent) from the Content Curation Adoption survey that we issued earlier that year sent a strong message that curation is gaining favor amongst marketers.

For our Curation Habits Report, we analyzed over one million articles curated by our customers to identify:

which curation methods drive the highest engagement rates and identified some interesting trends.

Here are a few things they found:

Original Content vs. Third-Party Content

On average, approximately 87 percent of curated content are third-party articles and 13 percent are original content.

**Additionally, on sites where there is a mix of original and third-party content

**original content receives approximately 17 percent more click-thru activity

**Curated sites that have between 16-30 percent original generate the most pageviews.

Capturing Reader Attention

Throughout the analysis, it became clear that there are several ways that curators can draw attention to their content.

**For starters, articles that included a picture generated 47 percent more click-thru activity than articles without.

Medium snippets (between 141 and 1,200 characters) generate 20 percent more click-thru activity than small snippets (140 characters or less) for any given curated site.

Plan on a #SocialMediaFail | Social Media Explorer

Plan on a #SocialMediaFail | Social Media Explorer | Actualidad Express | Scoop.it

Nowhere do the mistakes, poor practices and questionable judgement of individuals, organizations and brands get exposed with such glee as they do in the sphere of the social web. It’s no wonder some CEOs or senior decision-makers entrusted with the stewardship of brands break out in a cold sweat at the simple mention of the words “social media.”

Mark Schaefer wrote a great post about Negativity Bias as it relates to the social web and how this phenomenon has created a playing field rife with PR land mines for anyone active in the space. Schaefer sparks dialogue at the end of his post by posing the following question:

“In a world where Negativeity Bias is gasoline on a viral fire, and one misstep can overwhelm years of positive work cultivating raving fans, why would anybody take a risk on the social web?”
