Jennifer Turner's curator insight, February 24, 1:40 PM

Agency positioned itself to collect from among millions of accounts, many belonging to Americans.

The MUSCULAR project appears to be an unusually aggressive use of NSA tradecraft against flagship American companies. The agency is built for high-tech spying, with a wide range of digital tools, but it has not been known to use them routinely against U.S. companies.

All of these sites focus on learning and curation, but could one of them really be the "Pinterest of education"?

As one of the fastest-growing social networks, Pinterest's popularity can be attributed to its ease of use and vibrant Pinboards. Recently, a number of similar social curation sites developed specifically for students and teachers have popped up, emulating Pinterest in key ways while focusing on learning. To me Learning is anyway deeper learning as I am a hard critical thinking person, BUT as THEY want to describe it that way, WHY NOT, agreed ;)

Ainsley Stollar's curator insight, March 6, 10:57 AM

This article talks about how a type of learning called blended learning has been created to put minds at ease. It was created to help engage students in a deeper type of learning than the usual shallow learning implemented in a classroom. It relates because students are allowed to discuss their success without feeling the pressure of failure.

Using Technology to Connect Students to Their Learning

Using Technology to Connect Students to Their Learning | A New Society, a new education! | Scoop.it

Using Technology to Connect Students & the Environment  illustrates how technology can further STEM  learning through the environment, both in nature  and in the classroom.

The video demonstrates  how the students of Islesboro Central School in  Maine use technology to help document the  ecological condition of nature preserves near their school. Islesboro, Maine is just one example  of a school district using technology outdoors;  educators across the country are harnessing  student interest and skills in using technology as  part of new creative strategies for engaging  today’s students in environmental learning.
