Un jour du début du mois de juillet où il fait (à peu près) beau et des amis, enseignants, invités à partager un barbecue. La conversation, aimable, porte sur tous les sujets : la pluie (thème inépuisable…), le beau temps qui tarde, les vacances, la fin de l’année, les projets. Mais quand j’évoque le fait que je participe, au nom du CRAP, à la “concertation pour la refondation de l’École”, le ton devient plus sérieux. Avec d’abord de la méfiance “pourquoi, ils font ça pendant les vacances ?”, “Ils veulent nous cacher des trucs”, “Et les vrais enseignants de terrain, ils seront pas consultés ?” (au passage, c’est un peu dur à avaler pour moi qui suis sur le “terrain”…). Et puis beaucoup de scepticisme désabusé sur les effets de cette concertation : “De toutes façons c’est déjà écrit”, “Sur quoi ça va déboucher ?”, “ça va être bloqué par les syndicats”, “encore une réforme qui ne servira à rien”.
Un exemple ne suffit pas pour bâtir une théorie. Mais il peut être l’occasion de réfléchir sur certains aspects de ce qui se joue et peut se jouer à la rentrée. Car si la concertation, lancée le 5 juillet dernier à la Sorbonne, est le premier étage de la fusée de la “refondation”, il ne faut pas que les autres étages ratent leur mise en orbite. Et les enjeux sont importants, car ils concernent l’avenir de l’École et un dossier majeur du quinquennat. En écoutant les craintes de mes collègues, il me revenait en tête, une expression utilisée par Vincent Peillon dans son discours à la Sorbonne. En appelant à rejeter le pessimisme et le scepticisme qui se transforment trop souvent en cynisme il affirmait : "Il faut fatiguer le doute". Il y a du boulot…
