All the more useful than these terms are explained in plain English ;o) Check this one : "White balance reveals an interesting difference between a camera and a human eye : a human eye has a human brain attached. When you look at a white object, your brain is actually interpreting the lighting cues around you and calculating that the object is white on the fly. If the object is under a blue light, it will really look blue, but your brain compensates for the color difference, so you'll see it as white. The camera does no such compensating unless you force it to do so, so if a white object is under a bluish light, the camera will record bluish pixels. Adjusting white balance helps force the camera to compensate for the fact that most lighting conditions aren't perfectly white. Many indoor lights have a yellowish tinge to them, while fluorescent lights have a bluish tint. Even natural light is a little bluer than you might think." The best weird and odd pictures from around the world

At first I thought the pic had been 'photoshopped', but it hadn't... These genetically modified strawberries are "pineberries" that look like strawberries as far as shape is concerned. Yet, their red has turned to white and their pips' yellow-green... to red ! Besides, they're said to taste like pineapples. Such ice-age faded colour definitely contrasts with the 'classic' strawberry's red -guess which I'd rather crunch ? :o).

Selectionnez une image en parcourant vos dossiers, et d'un clic d'un seul, vous la verrez transformée à la manière d'un tableau (6 reproductions déclinées en diverses couleurs, sur fond négatif) du célèbre pop artist américain... Le cliché original entendait souligner la disproportion entre la taille du moineau et celle de la roue de la Fiat... mais si, regardez bien : un moineau... et la roue d'une Cinquecento, vous dis-je ! :-) Delete the scoop?

D'accord avec plusieurs points de vue dans cet article -bien que je trouve son leitmotiv "un photographe qui a de la personnalité est..." un tantinet incantatoire. Quant à ne jamais demander l'autorisation de shooter, c'est pour moi suivant l' "objet" shooté : pour l'humain, avant ou après, mais à un moment donné je demanderai s'il/elle veut bien que mon appareil le/la capte :-) Delete the scoop?
