LeBron James is The Most Underpaid Athlete [INFOGRAPHIC]

LeBron James is The Most Underpaid Athlete [INFOGRAPHIC] | A Changing Culture in Sports! | Scoop.it
Most NBA fans and analysts would agree that LeBron James is the best basketball player in the world. However, LeBron James' salary of $16 million a year makes him only the 13th highest paid player in the league.
Corey Raley-Ross's insight:

History often repeats itself in society and so do Iconic figures.

In thought of a previous generation, Lebron James is the sports world biggest star. Few analyst and scholars believe that “James even has the potential to become the first billion dollar athlete.”  Though, when debating this not only is his basketball talent considered but his intellect and charisma. However, he is the guy who took a pay cut to surround himself with better players. In many ways he’s basketball’s modern day Julius Erving; the individual who inspired Michael Jordan. Yes it was a strange summer with so many good coaches getting pink slips. I'm sure there is a lot of nervous coaches right now with those guys waiting in the wings.

I'm rooting for coach Randy Wittman to get my Washington Wizards back on track this season, but a 1-3 start and tough upcoming stretch of games could make him extremely vulnerable.

Especially with owner Ted Leonsis making it clear that a return trip to the NBA Draft Lottery would be unacceptable. How much of a rough start will it take before GM Ernie Grunfeld makes a move hoping to preserve his job?

I really hope we don't get to that point!
