READING TO BE A BETTER WRITER ~ Guest Post By Shah Wharton | Safireblade

READING TO BE A BETTER WRITER ~ Guest Post By Shah Wharton | Safireblade | 6-Traits Resources | Scoop.it

How does reading help my writing?

Reality has never been terribly interesting to read about. I am not into reading famous biographies or non-fiction (when I wasn’t doing so for education). I much prefer to lose myself to make believe. Therefore, within movies, dramas and books are where I find refuge.

An Interview With Creative Nonfiction Writer Phillip Lopate | Poets and Writers | 6-Traits Resources | Scoop.it

Blogging in the classroom: why your students should write online

Blogging in the classroom: why your students should write online | 6-Traits Resources | Scoop.it
Writing in classrooms seems to me to have two wildly different, conflicting purposes: a limited, traditional and strict purpose - because exams, like many decent jobs, will be about written skill; and a wider, idealistic one: the ultimate method of exchange of ideas in depth.
