In this website Evan Ackerman discusses a $1 million dollar plan called "bionic man" which is currently on show at the London Science Museum. A Bionic man is not necessary a robot nor human but certain parts maybe be implemented into humans eg. body parts/organs.

Evan does a brief description of the various parts that are created are; Kidneys, Heart, Blood, Lungs and many more. Some of these parts can be used in the human system such as the artificial heart which is battery powered, self contained and has a replacement system which was developed by SynCardia Systems and has bee approved for implantation in humans.(http://spectrum.ieee.org Para. 7 and 5).

Evan also discusses the advantages and disadvantages between "real organs" and "artificial organs". Meaning one must be replaced if severely damaged whilst a cybernetic version is very durable and won't break as easily but also being able to upgrade it be longer lasting.

 

In conclusion, by having these certain artificial body parts maintenance may be a pain but having these parts give you a advantage over a normal human by having stronger and more flexible parts. (http://spectrum.ieee.org Para. 13).

Paul and Seyi discuss the future of Cloud computing  information storage for the IT world. and the markets worth will be $150 billion by 2013 and 2014. cloud computing will also contain various softwares to use such as Microsoft office suite. (http://www.tribune.com.ng Para. 5)

Paul and Seyi talk about many other features but the main feature is the storage is now portable thus making it more flexible for the consumer. And information may be accessed on any type of machine that has a proper internet connection  (http://www.tribune.com.ng Para. 9)

One of the many advantages of having cloud computing is that if your data was corrupt that would make it inaccessible or your computer crashes or a hardware fail had occurred if their was no cloud computing all the information would be lost, but with cloud computing you can log onto another computer and continue typing away. (http://www.tribune.com.ng Para. 10)

 

In conclusion, cloud computing is a very unique type of storage and would be classified as one of the most important technologies for the future.

In this article the writer discusses the various types of products that may contain nanotech in the near future and how it will help to change our lives. Nanotechnology are tiny computers  (2.5 times smaller than any cell in the human body) called nanites that work simultaneously to perform tasks at a very high molecular level. The aim of nanotechnology is to help improve products drastically making it more durable and efficient eg. clothes,  clothes in the near future will be equipped with nanotech making it fireproof, stain proof and waterproof, nanotechnology will create a thin barrier that is nearly invisible keeping stains from staining your shirt, nanotech also improves the quality of the shirt by making it more  tough but at the same time feeling soft as silk. (http://www.futurenanotechnology.net, Para. 2) I found this article to be useful because it contains a lot of in depth description and the effects of nanotechnology on various items.

In conclusion, nanotechnology is going to be found in nearly everything from clothes to food and medical treatment.

Mobiles are growing rapidly due to the fact that mobile web is becoming more and more accessible by society by gaining data through society it has come to a conclusion that  when most people are in need of information eg. a location of a place the most common thing is to use a specific type of internet search engine in this case the mobile web. In this article Bruce Gibson explains the future potentials ofMobileand how rapid it will grow in the near future.  Mobiles have now become an need in our society, Abraham Maslow commented that in his Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, "safety and human connection or love are identified as foundational needs that humans have (just after physical needs such as air, food and water) and that mobile technology will soon grow into one of those categories of need." This article is useful to my research as Bruce thoroughly explains why mobiles in general are becoming one of the most important technologies for our future.

In this article it explains how robots will become more smarter and the features it possesses to become more or similar to a human. The aim of a AI robot (artificial intelligence is to allow the robot to solve problems, to interact with humans and other types of robots. (http://www.theeuropean-magazine.com Para 2) Another research conducted was that scientists have studied the interactions of humans with each other and implemented a feature allowing robots to properly interact with humans via speech, gestures and sound levels. Robots will be more intelligent because each robot will have high speed memory making it having a long term storage capacity.
