Four Keys To Workplace Innovation

Four Keys To Workplace Innovation | WORKPLACE AND TECHNOLOGY | Scoop.it
Innovation isn’t the purview of lone geniuses being struck, lightening style, by inspiration out of the blue. Rather it comes from creative, intelligent people who routinely encounter different perspectives and are frequently exposed to new concepts.

April Trob Minkus's insight:

WORKPLACE INNOVATION

This is an inspiring article because it discusses tools to help you and/or others become more innovative.  This in turn, allows one to grow, which is something you can take with you when you leave your current job (should you be lucky enough to have one in this workforce - or lack thereof).

Easy to implement solutions that make sense! For example, brainstorming - engaging thinkers with different skill sets across your organization - is a proven strategy that keeps the team involved,  motivated  and excited to find solutions and remain at the top of their game.

Wokplace Trends -

Like everything else, nothing remains the same.  This is particularly true for workplace dynamics. There have been many workplace revolutions over time (for example, the Industrial Revolution).  While we know the technology revolution began a while ago, we now have Obamacare, the rising cost of education providing less return than ever before and a myriad of other factors affecting the workforce and workplace.  This is an interesting article, which provides examples of such trends.

April Trob Minkus's insight:

WORKPLACE TRENDS - SMART CHAIR

Many of those in our workforce are for lack of a better word "Desk Jockeys."  Sitting at their desks, while their eyes are affixed to the computer and/or other electronic devices, eight plus hours a day.  Ergonomics developed in order to deal with some of the health implications resulting from being a Desk Jockey.  Clearly, there needs to be many more changes so that workers can progress as they should - like Human Beings and not like robots.

This article presents a very interesting concept and tool that may, if it works as it should, help you and/or anyone you know who is a Desk Jockey.
