Survey Article Adds to our Orthodontics Knowledge
Accurate diagnostic imaging is an essential requirement for the optimal diagnosis and treatment planning of orthodontic patients. In addition, it is a critical tool that allows the clinician to monitor and document the treatment progress and outcome. The cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanners were introduced in the late 1990’s as an evolutionary process resulting from the demand for three-dimensional (3D) information obtained by conventional computerized tomography (CT) scans.
