Having aggressive parents on the sideline took the enjoyment out of the game and ended up making the players aggressive as well , it also made the game all about winning.

When on the field the worst and most annoying thing is having parents on the side line telling you what to do. Its so bad at the hockey turfs that they have put up signs say these are kids. umpires are humans. coaches are volunteers. This is not the world cup. This shows what kids sport has come to.

This article is completely true as parents are the main influences in our adolescent lives as they encourage and discourage all kinds of activities but when they are on the sideline the beast comes out, From personal experience I can remember my mum yelling and screaming at the referee and players, which is totally uncalled for and destroys the point of playing sport which is to have fun and be competitive compared to just being competitive.

This article is true because yes our bodies have not fully adapted to the life style we live in where junk food is around every corner. And yeah for future generations life expectancy will go down to counteract the junk food which supply more energy than our body can cope with.

Counties Manukau zone Malachy and Fintan O'Sullivan are sports mad. In the summer they play cricket and tennis. In the winter it's soccer.
