In Bill Gates’ vision of the classrooms of the future, students are grouped according to skill set. One cluster huddles around a computer terminal, playing an educational game or working on a simulator.
My Comment: When I first heard of edugame/gaming I thought it was a terrific idea. BUT, then I begin to read how gaming might possibly provide the "knowledge" but not conceptually. What if gaming does not created reader who "live" the content (and for some, grow to love it?). Now, I'm not too sure. Are we creating a generation too lazy to read or research for the joy of really knowing a topic?
