Whenever I think of a teacher, I also think of a scholar. It has always been apparent to me that if one is to be an effective teacher, one must continually learn. Of course that is not always a pat... As educators we must be learners first. If we are to be better educators, we must first be better learners. We may not always have a choice in what we learn.
After so long not being involved with learning, many educators do not know how much they do not know.

The Movenote app lets you record video alongside documents or pictures to create an integrated video presentation with slides. Creating presentations is easy and fast. Simply record video with your device and swipe to synchronize the slides to the video. Presentations are shared by sending a link to the recipient and can be viewed without the app. About Movenote in short: Movenote is a tech start-up from Helsinki Finland and offers its service in the desktop and now also as a mobile app. The most important feature of the desktop version at the moment is its integration to Google which was published at the end of last year.
The integration enables the user to upload documents directly from Google Drive and share the video presentations from Gmail. Movenote is available from the Google Marketplace as well as the Chrome Web Store where in february it was mentioned as the fastest growing business app.
In addition, every day more than a dozen new educational institutions or schools start to useMovenote.

Edutopia is one of my favorite websites. Edutopia features some great reads in the field of educational technology and I have included some of its resources here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning several times.
This is a great tool which matches up YouTube music videos to lyrics. Just enter the name of a singer you like then select a song. You'll see the lyrics appear beside the song. Great way to improve your language skills.
