This is a great infographic I found ==> via @dailyinfographic. It paints a great picture on how everyone must be aware of what they decide to post and/or share on social media and Internet.

Stock photo links resource!  Site quickly explains difference between  Creative Commons License and Public Domain photos.  Photo stock websites are given short description and rated on a four star basis.  Sites most useful for history include: New Old Stock, Smithsonian, Photo Everywhere, Life of Pix, Little Visuals, Magdelenie, and Splashbase.

Making the most of Millennial teacher mindsets

Making the most of Millennial teacher mindsets | 21st Century Tools for Teaching-People and Learners | Scoop.it
By Nick Friedman - Millennial teachers are returning to classrooms with the realities common to their generation, such as flexible learner-centered models.

Millennials have been taught to speak up and express their opinions. Their experiences online have taught them that opinions and ways of working can and should be

===>  respected based on merit, not their place in a social or workplace hierarchy, <===

or simply because that’s the way things have always been done.

I scooped this article because as I interviewed teachers this year, I felt like many of them were so YOUNG! I couldn't believe how old I was, or least how old I felt compared to how young they were. This article references the differences in their thinking and working style and it's a good article for me to read and understand.  When they speak out, its not out of disrespect, it's because they've grown up being told to speak out.  I hope that this article sheds light on the new generation of teachers and educators for those of us that have been in the race a bit longer, and those of us who don't understand all of the nuances that we see with this generation.

Google Forms: Creating a Rubric

Google Forms: Creating a Rubric | 21st Century Tools for Teaching-People and Learners | Scoop.it

Google Forms has so many  applications for education. For students to fill out to submit data to the teacher, for the teacher to record data on observations about students, for students and teachers to monitor their progress on a task they are tracking, for self and peer evaluation and so much more. Google Forms is the magic ingredient to help your classroom go paperless. Almost anything you were collecting on paper can now be collected through a Google Form.
