Educational Technology and Mobile Learning: 8 Outstanding Google Forms Templates

Educational Technology and Mobile Learning: 8 Outstanding Google Forms Templates | 21st Century Technology Integration | Scoop.it

Today as I was working on Google Forms to create some forms for my colleagues in the university, the idea of providing my readers here with some practical pre-made template forms dawned on me. I know many of you would have recourse to the services provided by Google Forms and sometimes it would take you a lot of time to get what you want into form; having a set of ready made forms can make your job easier knowing that most of the ones I handpicked for you today are among the most used templates in Google Docs.

Google adds offline editing capabilities to Slides presentations

Google adds offline editing capabilities to Slides presentations | 21st Century Technology Integration | Scoop.it

Google has added Slides, the latest version of its Docs presentation software, to its suite of offline applications, as it tries to play a spoiler role with the official releases of Microsoft Office 2013 and the home user version of Office 365 right around the corner. Slides users will now be able to view and edit presentations without an Internet connection, provided they are using the Chrome Web browser or a Chrome OS device.

Shuttercal: Documenting Your Classroom One Photo at a Time | 21st Century Technology Integration | Scoop.it

A few weeks ago I shared information about the #edugood 365 Photo Project I decided to join—one that encourages educators and/or students to focus on the positive aspects of teaching and learning by documenting a daily image of events that occur in one’s district, school and/or classroom. Doing so creates a visual timeline of  significant activities that take place throughout a designated time period—marking period, semester, or year. Of course, that’s your choice—and challenge!

Getting to the Core with Digital Tools

Getting to the Core with Digital Tools | 21st Century Technology Integration | Scoop.it

So, what do the Common Core State Standards and digital tools have in common? No—this is not a joke nor is there a punchline coming your way, although some probably wish there was. In reality, these buzz words represent two concepts that can no longer be dismissed/ignored in today’s educational landscape. Yep—like it or not, teachers (who else, right?) are going to be responsible for meeting these newly adopted standards—objectives that now include digital components requiring students to demonstrate knowledge through the use of technology.

Linda Dougherty's curator insight, October 12, 2013 7:14 AM

Have started showing students during Google presentation tutorials how to outline their presentations like they always do with those bulleted lines on the slides.  Then take those sentences, change them into titles, and put one title on each slide. Select one image per slide. If needed, add URL links. Add the works cited for the image in tiny print at the bottom of the slide. Move those outlined bulleted points to the note section or toss into a document to print out for a group presenetation.

No more slides crowded with text and 4 images! No more students sleeping in the classroom while their classmates read from the Smartboard.

Susan Kay Daniels's curator insight, January 13, 6:30 AM

This is a PowerPoint presentation that would have sent my former employers into shock. They had no imagination whatsoever. However, Eugene Cheng clearly has wonderful artistic skills and knows how to present them. In addition, he clearly has a nice budget to work with. These kind of beautiful graphics don't come at low price. I thoroughly enjoyed glancing through this presentation and plan to use it as inspiration for future projects.

Warmly,

Susan Daniels
