8,500 likely to miss Kenya Certificate of Primary Education if schools are not registered | Kenya School Report - 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
All public primary schools in Taita-Taveta County have not been registered as examination centres.

Senior education officials and primary school head teachers expressed fears that over 8,500 of KCPE candidates in 222 schools in the region might not sit for their final examination in their respective schools due to  lack of registration certificates.

Strathmore University students Ashna Patel, Winnie Onsiero and Nishita Bakrania in a team‘Raging Achievers’ were the winners in the just concluded ACCA Business Challenge, defeating 112 other teams drawn from 19 universities. Following in position two were Esther Saya, Slade Ochieng and Billy Atela from ‘Achievers team’ also Strathmore University students.

Tis excludes the lack of electricity and access thereto, it does not include the need for additional schools in untapped rural areas, neither does it include the public funding that will be required to assist the extremely poor families with the cost for uniforms and more importantly the extended costs associated with funding school teachers and school text books and equipment for additional schools.
