Family, by definition, comprises of a father, a mother, and children. At least in theory as written in text books in Kenya's school curriculum. But as family dynamics change and such family structures as those of single parents become more common, early childhood education experts as well as teachers are seeking to have the curriculum changed to incorporate such societal dynamics. Is it time to rewrite the text on family?
