This great youtube clip ventures into how fast and rapidly the world around us is changing. This focusses on the teachers involvement and how we are the people who will be teaching the future generations to grow and take part in the newly unknown future. "Teachers must be mentors, motivators, catalysts. Because preparing students for the 21st century isn't just about teachnolgy or skills for the global economy, it is about creativity,cultural awareness, problem solving, innovation, communication..." This targets the broader aspects of what 21st centruy teaching actually is. These foudnatons create the avid, keen learners that we need to help shape ad for the future to come.
It's not enough to take a traditional K-12 classroom and fill it with technology.

This article gives an insight into how 21st Century classrooms should be set out and displayed. It focusses on five major points being the positioning of the furniture, electrical outlets for the implimentation of digital objects, smart or interactive whitboard, suitable lighting and also physical space. It highlights on the importance of each one of these aspects and how they work towards this new concept of learning.
This site explores into the digital role which is implimented into the classroom, and the roles that the teacher plays. It focusses on the mentor, the monitor, and the mediator and the roles in which teaching can be based from. It is a very interesting insight into the ways teaching can be looked upon in these specified roles. There is also a focus on what a "good teacher" should be, with many skills that they should work their teaching around.

They developed the following noncognitive categories including motivation, effort, self-regulated learning, self-efficacy, academic self-concept, social behavior, and resilience. Of these categories, it is self-regulated learning, academic self-efficacy, and resilience that most benefit from 1:1 iPad implementation in schools."
As schools are focusing on 21st century learning, the use of technology has become an integral part of each aspect of the curriculum. Many school are enforcing the use of Ipads and as they are improving the level of learning and aspect of the children's thinking. This article states that the enforcement of iPads improves the children's resilience, academic self efficacy and also self regulated learning.
This is a great electronic resource that could most easily be implimented into the classroom teachings of the alphabet. This resource would be displayed on an ipad for individual students or even for the whole class on an interactive white board. The 21st century learning focusses on this electronic interactive based learning. I especially like that the accent is Australian.

The 7 Cs of effective 21st century teaching is a good article highlighting the importance of its implimentation in the classroom. As schools are focusing on 21st century learning, the use of technology has become an integral part of each aspect of the curriculum. As a future teacher i do believe that this implimentation is of high importance if one is wanting to become a great teacher.
