C'est interessant ! Il ne faut pas oublier par exemple les effets bénéfiques des nonoparticules d'argent qui entre autre remplacent plus de 600 médicaments et remèdes. Comme par hasard: on n'en parle plus (lobbies pharmaceutiques)...

To date, no robotics scientist has been able to create ultra-flexible tactile skin. Either the sensor has been too big or the electronics not sufficiently flexible. Now, however, researchers believe they have found a way of incorporating electronics and sensors on bendable silicon-based surfaces that will be 50 micrometers thick.

Either the sensor has been too big or the electronics not sufficiently flexible.Now, however, Dr Dahiya believes he is on the cusp of a breakthrough and that he has found a way of incorporating electronics and sensors on bendable silicon-based surfaces that will be 50 micrometers thick – thinner than the aluminium foil we use every day.

Last year, Victoria University of Wellington graduate Jake Evill created the Cortex cast, a concept that sought to potentially replace traditional plaster casts while also offering the added benefit of being lightweight and odor-free. Now, the Osteoid cast, a new concept designed by Deniz Karasahin, takes things a step further by adding an ultrasound device meant to speed up the healing process.

A University of Arizona-led team of physicists has discovered how to change the crystal structure of graphene, more commonly known as pencil lead, with an electric field, an important step toward the possible use of graphene in microprocessors that would be smaller and faster than current, silicon-based ...


Unlike silicon transistors used now, graphene-based transistors could be extremely thin, making the device much smaller, and since electrons move through graphene much faster than through silicon, the devices would enable faster computing.

In addition, silicon-based transistors are being manufactured to function as one of two types – p-type or n-type – whereas graphene could operate as both. This would make them cheaper to produce and more versatile in their applications.

Des astronomes ont découvert la première exoplanète de la taille de la Terre située en zone habitable 


Les astronomes et les astrophysiciens la cherchent comme le Saint Graal, cette planète qui, comme la nôtre, présenterait des conditions favorables à la vie - notamment la présence d’eau liquide à sa surface.


Quelques-unes des exoplanètes observées ces dernières années sont déjà sur les rangs, comme Gliese-851d ou Kepler-62f. C’est une nouvelle candidate que vient de découvrir une équipe internationale d’astronomes, dont trois chercheurs du Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Bordeaux.


Non seulement Kepler-186f gravite dans la zone habitable de son étoile, mais elle est d’une taille presque identique à celle de la Terre, une première. De part sa dimension, elle a toutes les chances d’être une planète rocheuse. Une condition sine qua non pour que de l’eau liquide puisse exister à sa surface.

Biomedical engineering researchers have developed a nanotechnology anti-cancer drug delivery method that essentially smuggles the drug into a cancer cell before triggering its release ("Enhanced Anticancer Efficacy by ATP-Mediated Liposomal Drug Delivery"). The method can be likened to keeping a cancer-killing bomb and its detonator separate until they are inside a cancer cell, where they then combine to destroy the cell.
