Everyone ought to be able to read and write; few people within the global mainstream would argue with that statement. But should everyone be able to program computers?

 

Ah... What's old is new again.  When I started with Ed-Tech (way back before the turn of the century) I taught Logo as an instroductor computer language.  Pascal and Basic were also very commonly taught in school.  I like the symbolic manipulation of logo in particular.  Honestly,  I never really grasped geometry until I started teacing kids how to drive that turtle! ~ Dennis O'Connor
