Chris Carter's comment, January 8, 2014 7:21 PM
Thank you, Jim, for spreading the word on this resource. I was stunned by the potential power of this site. Teachers can now create course or unit readers with relative ease. Gone are the piles of links. Now kids can download the reader onto their Kindles, iPads, or ePub readers on their computers. Powerful!

Higher Education institutions are now seriously looking in to MOOCs.. not that because of the quality of teching and learning as the only motivation, but rather cost saving in a long run. But what will happen after 25 years?

I agree that tools are important and I guess by technology we mean digital which are also important. It is not the tool. It is the way it is chosen. Is it the right tool for this context, this person, this group, this moment, etc? There has to be certain mindfulness involved that is not always evident.

The learning activities make a difference.

ICT has great potential for supporting innovative pedagogies, but it is not a magic ingredient.

Important school-level supports tend to be present in schools with higher concentrations of innovative teaching.

Coherent systemic support is also essential.
