Not research per se, but it's an interesting prompt towards thinking carefully about uilding projects for education. There are may things to think about to make a project a really good, worthwhile learning experience.

This is a great tool for creating graphs from your own data. You can them embed the graphics it produces into reports or webpages using the embed code. You do need a Twitter or Facebook account to sign up though. Nice way for students to complement projects in English.
