I can't resist putting this site up here even if it's more geared towards teaching English and not so much anything 'techy'.  It's really well done and the author has done a great job of personalising the lessons and finding topics which will genuinely engage the reader.  If you consider that all the resources are online and there are some videos within the lessons, it may just pass as techy?  In any case, a good resource is a good resource so I hope some of you teachers find it a good scoop!

I can't believe kids are doing more than 40% of their writing outside of school. "Life writing" may make grammar teachers cringe, but at least students are engaging with others and sharing ideas in this format.
