Some teachers like to get back all their classroom library books before the school year ends. I was not that teacher. Check ‘em out, read ‘em, and share ‘em. That's a good reflection on Summer reading for our students. We must make sure we provide students with the best tips to foster reading during Summer holidays, a gap to be filled with rich food for our soul as well... books!!

iPads have certainly become a highly desired commodity in education. Apple is reporting that schools are purchasing iPads by a ratio of 2:1 over MacBooks. However, that rush to purchase the latest technologies often precedes the careful planning and preparation that’s crucial to their success as educational tools. Stated simply, technology alone doesn’t have the capacity to improve education. It needs to be woven into a holistic approach to education that encompasses thorough planning and ongoing review of the skills and competencies required by the rapidly changing society that characterizes life in the 21st century.

Those who have connectivity sometimes are unaware of the unconnected. In the real world of the USA there are many who cannot connect to enjoy,learn, explore, examine, transform.. broadband and access to the tools is one problem.

I think like all curation tools, you need to find what works for you. If you have time investigate the next thing if not, stick with what you know.

I have to admit that I'm not a great fan of grammar, but this is a site that I do really like. It's called English Language and Usage and it is like a Q & A of English grammar. The site has a huge collection of questions that people have sent in about various aspects of English grammar idioms and general usage and anyone who is registered can the try to answer the questions.
