Sparked launches Customer Teams platform to boost consumer engagement | milestone 2 | Scoop.it
Sparked has today announced the launch of its Customer Teams platform, specifically designed for mobile devices as a way to encourage users to interact with the brands they already know and love.
Matthew Randrup's insight:

This article was great it showed how important integrated communication is in todays environment. The article also mentions how marketing has been transformed by the continuing introduction of new technology. Within the last 20 years we have entered from block held cellphones to phones were we can go on the internet with access to facebook and photo and video sharing alternatives. The article also mentions how it is important to focus on other aspects of marketing not only brand awareness but brand loyalty and brand image as other parts that need to be taken seriously. The article in my eyes summed up how important integration is to gaining a serious competitive advantage in business.

I agree with you matt, this article was great to read, it is especially important to use for our studies I particularly liked the part “New activities may be available every day, but these are created specifically by the businesses, and are only presented to those users most likely to enjoy completing them” because business can’t just use social media and hope, you still have to do the fundamentals of marketing like assessing your target market.

Another great find Levi. It give me a much clearer idea how integration could give a significant effect on brand value. It give me a better understanding, that integration is a critical point to create a better marketing program. Putting an non-integrated and stand alone marketing program will create a less focused IMC of the brand.
Enele Westerlund's comment, September 26, 2013 7:30 PM
Blake, very true that consumers have the power to find out about any product they require. Creating a planned and consistent integration definitely allows for brand loyalty to grow. The article is definitely a detailed one. With It would be very easy for a consumer to shift in brand loyalty if they do not have a resounding reason to be loyal to the brand. Integration here really does build up from the core and allows consumers to engage across multiple platforms.

Matthew Randrup's insight:

This article showed the importance of companies applying to the consumers on a social level while outlying the importance of keeping in touch with consumers and the importance of which social media to use. The interesting use of statistics to back up the article was brilliant to gather the attention towards the importance of consumer engagement. With attention being drawn towards keeping in contact with consumers that tweet by re-tweeting back or by replying to the consumer gives the impression that the company actually cares for the consumer and can create loyaly through this.Overall a brilliant article

This article effectively analysis the importance of IMC in a marketing strategy. Nowadays, social media has become the most effective trend to create consumers' loyalty and trust. Most companies used it as a communication tool to deal with customer; thus social media can also affect the customer's decision making.

Matthew Randrup's insight:

The article talks about the company sparked whom have created a concept to bring brands within the consumers fingertips. This is for consumers to use their cellphone and games are also used to help get the consumer engaged in the brand. Consumer Engagement is positive to achieve for brands as it allows them to create brand loyalty and also allows them to cement their brand image in the consumer heads and with things such as points earned from playing the games that can be used to brands is a good strategy to draw out sales. @Ashleigh’s comment, “Sparked launches customer teams…” I agree that the launch of its customer team’s platform is a great way for consumers to interact with the brands that they love through their mobiles. I think that once the consumers have become a ‘member’ of the brand, they are able to keep engaging, therefore they can keep a customer loyalty base.
Shay Narsey's comment, September 26, 2013 6:35 AM
Matt, love your insight here, i think its great that you mention about the game to increase consumer engagement and in some terms create a form of brand loyalty that keeps going into the future. It about giving the consumer something they like and enjoy and they will come back.
Terry De Felice's comment, September 26, 2013 8:44 PM
I agree with your insight here matt as this company has come up with a innovative way to engage consumers. I think one of the main points is that customers get rewarded for what they do

Social Business Strategies Are Becoming Table Stakes

A fastgrowing number of companies are working to become social businesses, a study finds.
Matthew Randrup's insight:
This article notes that 97% of people think that the company engaging with the consumer is important. The article illustrates that direct communications with the consumer is important. I found the article a bit limiting with its depth as it had a small amount of content. The article mentions the future of business and from our own perspective we can see how technology is changing that makes it easier to communicate and with this technology customers expect this communication in the modern business scene. Examples of success today through customer engagement are such as Wooho tax refunds whom used facebook to spread their brand through competitions and then used to page as an avenue for customer connection
