The Star Spangled Banner was one of the songs really made in the 1800s but, due to The Great Depression it was linked and sung. The Star Spangled Banner National Anthem of the United States of America. Francis Scott Key origanally wrote it as a poem. He was proud and admired his country which influenced him to write this, as shown in the actual poem. Key's passion and admiration for the flag and the strength of America were perfect for a National Anthem. The Star-Spangled Banner portrays the strength of America beautifully. It shows the flag as a symbol of strength of America and persistence of it also.

The Big Band Era was entertainment in the twentieth century. After the market crash of 1929 the country had wanted a new beat and found it in the music of big bands. Each of these bands have left a permanet mark on Americans popular music. The big bands music was a positive and optimistic music and inspiration to millions during one of the most difficult periods of American History. There were many more dance oriented big bands in the 1930s even before the term "swing" was used. The Big Band was such a positive morale booster.

1.Hoovervilles- Groups of shacks in which the homeless would live in.

Sentence; When the banks went broke, me and my family lived in a Hooverville. 

2.Great Depression- The period of economic hard times that followed the stock crash.

Sentence; We are going through the Great Depression.

3.Vagabonds- A person who wanders from place to place without a home or job.

Sentence; Since my family is almost broke we are vagabonds.

4.Black Tuesday- Day the stock market crashed.

Sentence; Black Tuesday was the worst day.

5.Bonus- Additional sum of money.

Sentence; My mom had gotten a bonus today.

6.Black Holiday- Closing of banks for four days during the Great Depression.

Sentence; There wasn't a holiday it was a black holiday.

7.Fireside Chats- Radio speech given by FDR while in office.

Sentence; When i went on the radio they were given fireside chats.

8.New Deal- Program of FDR to end Great Depression.

Sentence; We made a new deal for this event.

9.Hundred Days- First hundred days of FDR's presidency.

Sentence; We went into the first hundred days.

10.Civil Rights- The rights due to all citizens.

Sentence; All Americans have civil rights.

I chose this to be one of my primary documents because it's mainly what the people use to play to make music. It was very interesting to me because how it was made. To become somebody and make music you had to figure out how to make it your way.
