Cycling: London Olympics 2012... GB cyclists were top in the 1st London Olympics in 1908. Despite the weather being 'the reverse of pleasant. As a matter of fact, it was the rule rather than the exception for the track to be flooded.' Riding outside on a concrete track, team GB won 5 gold medals, 3 silvers and 1 bronze medal.
