Repealing of tne amendment.

Sergey Ser Zavrazhnov's insight:

State legislature should pick a Senator as it was before the 17th amendment, Kevin Cooke,  a sponsor, said:  "This isn’t an idea of mine. This was what James Madison was writing. This would be a restoration of the Constitution"  I think that this amendment is correct, it shows "direct democracy", where people decide policy initiatives directly.

Sergey Ser Zavrazhnov's insight:

Very good video throughout  this amendment, the system of government and system of Balance Of Power. After this amendment, the power of election  was taken away from the state legislature  and was given to people. The Senators were forced to provide jobs instead of protecting jobs. Republican Candidates Call for Repeal of Seventeenth Amendment

Republican Candidates Call for Repeal of Seventeenth Amendment | 17th-Amendment | Scoop.it
One of the clearest measures of anti-Washington feeling this election year is the attack on a little-remembered, century-old amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Sergey Ser Zavrazhnov's insight:

Republican candidates in more than a half-dozen states have called for the repeal of the 17th Amendment.  Founding fathers' balance between national and state governments, by the opinion of Tea-Party candidates, has been wrecked.
